Final Stretch Goals!

Hello again, Crafters!

We just cleared Stretch Goal #6! Which means we’ve hit another stretch goal checkpoint. Your support and kindness has brought a lot of great additions to the game.

Let’s recap:

  • An improved game box by adding soft touch coating AND some spot UV
  • Four new characters to play as in the game
  • Four new standard projects
  • The Sweater Pack
  • The Sci-Fi Pack
  • Custom Action Markers

Now, you may have noticed that we FLEW through those stretch goals. Originally, we thought our goals would take us all the way to the end of the campaign. But y’all are showing us the love and coming out STRONG for ArchRavels. So, we’re calling an audible – and revealing the rest of our stretch goals right now: On day 10 (of 27)

For those waiting on add-ons: That update is following this one – we’re splitting them up because it’s A LOT of information.

Goal 7 – Fantasy Pack ($52k)

Next up is our Fantasy Pack. This pack is made for ADVENTURE! The Fantasy Pack includes a loot chest of crafted versions of fantasy treasure items, like swords, potions, etc. It also has a familiar looking monster, who’s name rhymes with shoulder, some killer headgear for going on previously mentioned adventure, and your typical cottage burning dragon. We need to get to $52K so y’all can literally craft out your fantasies. Fantasy-ies.

Goal 8 – Wizard Pack ($59k)

Our last card related stretch goal makes YOU A WIZARD! There’s a cozy place in all of hearts for those storied houses in the Franchise-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. This pack has a house scarf for all each of you crafters out there! Whether you’re hoping to show off your bravery, friendliness, knowledge, and cunningness, help us get to $59k, and we’ll be able to add these scarves to the game, just in time for a magical winter.

PS: You may notice that the art is hidden on these… that’s because y’all unlocked these goals faster than we could get the art finished – don’t worry we’ll update the graphics along the way.

After that the goals get a just a bit bigger…

Goal 9 – Full GameTrayz Organizer ($75k)

The 9th stretch goal is a big upgrade to game storage. Right now, we’ve got a fabulous token tray and yarn bazaar, designed by GameTrayz. Having a well organized game helps with setup and tear down to ensure your game can get in and out of the box quickly – meaning you can focus on actually playing the game.

We’re committed to making sure that what we give you is beautiful and functional. And, if we’re able to get to $75K, we’ll be able to improve it even more! We’ve been working with GameTrayz to get y’all a full game organizer that will provide an elegant storage solution for every bowl, card, and board in the game that isn’t already addressed with the yarn token/item chit organizer we have right now. GameTrayz is working on renders of this fantastic addition as we speak, so we don’t have an image ready quite yet. But if you know GameTrayz – you know it’ll be awesome.

 Goal 10 – Cat Meeple! ($95k)

When you make a game about yarn… ya gotta include a cat. The cat in ArchRavels shows up on the event card “Tangled Cat”:

This event card lets the active player to choose an opponent who won’t be able to craft on their next turn. Right now, when that card comes up – you just choose a person, give ’em the card for a turn and boom – they can’t craft. Playtesters love it and it totally works without needing anything else. But what if… we actually made a cat?

If we hit $95k we’re gonna do JUST THAT. We’ll add a wooden cat meeple that you can put in your opponent’s yarn bowl to remind them that they can’t craft next turn.

Meow.

That’s it for this update.

Tomorrow morning we’ll reveal the add-ons in another update.

Keep on crafting…
