Description

In Titania Ascending, the first cooperative flip-and-write game, the map you create in the first round becomes the puzzle you solve in the second.  Each player makes their own choices, but success for the group hinges on how well they can work together. Designed, developed, & tested remotely; Titania Ascending is perfect for In-Person and Remote Play.

Legions of the Fae: Unite! — The Cooperative Game

Titania Ascending
is a cooperative game– all players work together to defeat the puzzle that emerges from the cards. In the first half, you and the other players arrange the fae and choose the elite groups that will storm the Sacred Citadels. In the second half, Titania will call forth specific arrangements of fae. Answer the call and capture the Sacred Citadels to win. After you’ve mastered the base game, you can add Fate cards to increase the challenges you face.

The Queen’s Favorite Advisor — The Competitive, Solo/ All v. All Game

Sometimes, you feel like a more confrontational experience. Or perhaps you want to tackle the game by yourself.  Well, fates be praised! Titania Ascending comes with a robust competitive mode that’s also ideal for solo play, large group play, or remote play with your own fae legion. Claim the title of Titania’s Favorite by managing her magical minions more efficiently than anyone else.

Gameplay: 2 Phases, 2 Modes

Legions of the Fae: Unite! — The Cooperative Game

Phase 1: Divination

You arrange Fae & Dragons, recruit aides, and select the hallowed units who will seize the 6 hallowed citadels and secure the Shards of Gaia for Titania’s crown. Take turns choosing which unit everyone will draw on their maps, coordinating with other players to divine hallowed units, and recruit aides to earn rule-bending abilities. The phase succeeds when all six hallowed units have been divined. You fail if everyone passes before you complete this goal.

Phase 2: Ascension

You open portals to Gaia (Earth) and send Titania’s units into the field, using your hallowed units to seize the hallowed citadels. Take turns selecting missions to launch and shading in areas on your map that meet the mission requirements; meanwhile, the other players fill in similar areas on their maps. After you launch each mission, you can also send your hallowed units to capture the hallowed citadels. If you capture all six citadels, you restore Titania’s crown, she ascends the throne of Gaia, and you win

Titania’s Favorite Advisor — The Competitive, Solo/ All v. All Game

In this mode, you will play by yourself, choosing all six hallowed units and delivering them on your own. You’ll have to manage Titania’s units carefully and use your aides judiciously, as you will have a lot fewer boons. You can also use this mode for a competitive “all vs. all” game, which allows for faster play or for groups larger than six to play together.
